I’m Lovin’ It

No it’s not McDonalds! What I am lovin’ today is Office 365. We have migrated a number of clients to this over the last year and recently migrated our office to the service. There were a few hiccups along the way but those do not outweigh the benefits. What we have gained far exceeds those hiccups. Listed below are three key benefits we feel you can gain from moving to Office 365.

  • Up to date – We are on the latest version of Exchange without all the added costs of hardware and licenses. A number of small businesses are stuck on an old version of Exchange and hesitate to upgrade due to the potential downtime with the upgrade not to mention the costs of the upgrade.
  • Anywhere access without compromising our network – With all the security issues out there these days, this is a huge plus. With Office 365, you don’t have to open your network up for mail flow or web access to your Exchange server. You don’t run the risk of someone hacking your Exchange server and bringing your network down with a spam attack being sent out from your servers.
  • Hassle free configuration – Set it and forget it when it comes to configuring your mail. No need to have static IPs for the in house Exchange Server. No more SSL renewals for the Exchange server. No more updating the spam filter database and no more third party spam filter service.

There are more benefits, but for the price of about $5 a user per month, these are just about all the benefits you should need to consider switching to an Office 365 Exchange hosting plan. Oh, don’t forget that you can also add Office applications to the plan and get all your users up to date on the latest version of Office and give them the ability to install Office on up to 5 devices!
