Indiana Department of Workforce Development Assistance to Employers during Coronavirus

Last week the Indiana Department of Workforce Development (IDWD) issued a press release regarding their assistance to employers during this time. IDWD is asking employers who need to temporarily close or reduce employee hours to encourage their employees to apply for unemployment benefits, which must be done online. For employees without online access, IDWD is asking employers to help provide access to computers, if possible. IDWD is also hosting webinars this week (3/24) and (3/25) to help address unemployment benefits and to answer questions. The webinar is limited to the first 500 who are online, but up to 5,000 can register. Details on the webinars can be found here.
