Getting to Know John

If you hadn’t become a CPA, what career would you have chosen and why?

I considered a career as a lawyer. The profession interested me due to the intellectual challenge as well as the diversity of practice areas.

What’s your career highlight?

My career highlight was obtaining the CPA designation. It was the hardest I have ever had to work for something, and it felt great to come out on top.

What was your first job?

If you are reading this and live in the Indianapolis area, there is a small chance I have been part of a team that washed your vehicle at Mike’s Carwash.

What lesson from your Mom or Dad do you live by today?

Always try your best and success will follow.

When you were a child, what did you want to do for a living?

I dreamed of playing in the NBA. I came up just a little short when I did not make the junior varsity team in high school.
